Harness Rub

This is a well-known and greatly discussed issue, so if you don't want to relive it I can post on the CMW board.
I am just curious how some of you early Classic guys rerouted the harness to avoid the rubbing?

I DO remember finding that exact same thing on mine ... close call ! The back side of that head steady is is pretty sharp and rough. So I re-wrapped the harness and added a piece of that split wire loom tubing and wrapped over that as well. And then I put the head steady back in , with the harness in front of it ... on the smooth side of the head steady.
Later on , when we were doing the Cafe Racer thing and rewiring the bike and getting rid of most the original "Angel hair
Pasta sized harness' . I re-routed the harness and made a new head steady out of 3/16" Flat bar.
