I was riding home at noon, came to a stop sign, and felt a nudge on my left leg. When I looked down, the left tool box was open, my spare cables, registration, fuses, spare nuts and bolts were gone. I retraced my path, and found the papers spread over about 1/4 mile of road. I picked them up and proceeded on. Two more stop signs later the nudge on my leg was back. Sure enough, all my spares, registration were once again blowing down the road. I finally learned my lesson, and had Tim send me new tool box locks. It seems that over time the latch causes torsional wear on the tool box metal such that it will latch while stationary, but then rotate slightly to allow the latch to slip past the nub and spill the contents. Anyway, get some new locks ASAP , you may also want to get some bungee cords to hold the contents of the tool box in place should the latch fail. Just my 2 cents.

At least your toolbox is hinged. On the G5 model it's just a cover, so when the lock fails the cover flies off and 6 cars run it over.
